Keep it a habit

Water is a spice of life. We can survive without electricity, without a house even, or without food for a couple of days, but it’s almost impossible to get through with life without water. The world is almost made up of it, comprising more than half of its equation. Needless to say, water has no fuel value but it is important to every individual, young and old, man and woman. Our survival depends on it, either by satisfying our thirst or by simply sustaining our needs as we go along in life.

Drinking water may be simplest thing you have done lately, but the mere act is far from being a mundane habit just as you have finished eating your meal. It may be an act that has gone stale and out of date, considering the rise of some alternative drinks available in the counter, but drinking water is still the logical beverage for every meal; safe, pure and with no possible side effects. Not only is water a required drink for you, from breakfast to dinner, but it can spice up your life also the moment you drink it regularly, providing you with a healthy way of maintaining your body from the toxicity and indigestion infesting around us.

This is especially true when you have weight problems. And to think that by cultivating the habit of drinking water is not only accessible to the problem presented, it is also doing some sort of favor to somehow minimize the bloating effect of gaining too much weight. Studies have been conducted linking the two that if one could only maintain the process, so to speak, of keeping water-drinking on a regular basis, chances are it will gain some hold inside the body, enabling the person suffering with weight an easy solution to the problem. Maybe the flushing effect of it, the internal procedure whereby the water rinses out everything inside the body will ultimately create a cleansing result and released it as a form of waste.

It sounds so simple, really. But because we always take for granted some of the uses of drinking water, let alone cultivate a habit, we only have ourselves to blame. And it makes sense considering that we basically need water to perk up these unnecessary wastes hiding beneath us. You can’t sweat it out if you’re dehydrated. You need water to somehow dilute and release eventually those toxic elements brought about by absorbing a lot of preservatives the night before. Thereby we need some sort of refilling, a water consumption enough to recharge and reinvigorate our metabolism, flushing its unnecessary inhabitants for it to have that cleansing mode we so desired.

Gaining weight is easy, but consider this, drinking water is a lot easier than the former. Diet programs can only do so much, but by simply drinking that water regularly, any desire such as curbing that unnecessary weight (with all the love handles and some fats sticking out of your arms) will eventually come into fruition.

It helps your metabolism more than those dietary products available at your nearest nutritionist. Somehow your habitual access to water can generate a normal bowel movement which, most likely, your body can certainly use. Some of the risks involved when absences of water occur on a daily basis include constipation and indigestion, but these inconveniences are so curable and easy to handle provided that your water consumption passes through its normal frequency, approximately 8 glasses a day. And along with your favorite foods that are rich in fiber, your water-drinking hobby will only spice up your desire to shed weight amid the growing pains of gaining too much.

Obesity is a drag. And because there is not much energy circulating in your system of which this water is responsible, your body temperature comes to a halt. You feel stagnant, static and slow, your muscles are not fueled somehow by that water intake, and so you become twice your normal weight, dehydrated at times, or worst irritable. Your fats can sap you of your energy to do something worthwhile, like doing household chores or simply walking. In effect, you eventually develop some cramps and sprains that will make you even more depressed. A regular intake of water is one way of curing this manic episode. Obesity comes only when there is not enough regulation in the body, that grinding substance that would shake the very nerves working inside your digestive system, and your water habit can do just that.

Shedding weight also requires sweating it out. Keeping yourself hydrated is not only good for the insides; it is also great for the skin. Your water-drinking program enables you to release those needless toxins and waste products out of your body. It’ll make your skin so supple and has that much-needed elasticity, just as its tissues have been replenished and been given a moisturizing feel, looking younger and fresher than your age would require. Thus, maintaining a hydrated lifestyle is a must, being thirsty is already an indication that you are not regulating your body in a normal way. Dehydration can cause complications when left unheeded, so better still drink water even if you’re not dehydrated yet. In fact, drinking one is not something that would require a lot of sweat, it is only its after effect through the presence of your sweat that gives your exercise a better feel sometimes, and a better body in return.

Once when international model Cindy Crawford was asked about her dietary secrets, those who interviewed her were surprised to hear about her response that most of the time she doesn’t have any dietary programs that she followed, but instead she ate whatever it is that she craved for, but the catch was that she makes it a habit to drink enough water after every food binge. The benefits of drinking water regularly have all the advantages one could get if only that person has the right mindset and attitude towards it. It is almost unthinkable for Cindy Crawford to eat that unlimited meal we oh-so love and still have that drop dead gorgeous body she’s known for, but with the help of a single glass of water, one could tell that Crawford’s slimming secret is really just a matter of getting used to, to that clean, ready water we sometimes failed to take.

It is cheaper, if you think about it. Many times we scour almost every drugstore just to find the right supplements or even vitamins for that vibrant, healthy body we’ve been dreaming of, but to no avail. The cure really is among us, found almost exclusively inside the house, neglected at times on our breakfast table or even inside that cool refrigerator. It is a misconception that the more you drink water the more you increase physically to the point of obesity, the contrary, however, makes you feel good, because you’re not only flushing out all the negative elements inside your body, but you’re also giving a chance to redeem yourself from the shame of being overweight.

Keep it a habit always and it will keep you someday.
